Engineering Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Engineering Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates a wide variety of capital improvement projects, including the building of all types of residential, commercial, and industrial structures, and infrastructure projects. Phases of such projects typically include conceptual design, project scope, engineering design, environmental assessment and documentation, right-of-way negotiation and acquisition, construction, and project closeout and warranty work. This position works under the direct supervision of the Director of Public Works/Engineering or his designee.

WORK HOURS:        Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; 

WORK LOCATION:  City of Branson, Missouri; In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING

• Graduation from an accredited technical school program or a college or university with an Associate of Technology degree in Civil Technology is required.  
       o Six (6) years of directly related work experience may be substituted for formal education as determined by the Department Director.
• Three (3) years of experience in the construction of streets, heavy highway construction, building construction, evaluation, material sampling, repair, rehabilitation, or inspection is required.  
• Must possess or obtain certification as a Work Zone Safety and Traffic Signal Technician I within twelve (12) months of employment.
• Additional licenses or certifications may be required for this position. 
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
• Certification in specialty area is preferred.
 
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with Public Works/Engineering leadership in achieving those goals.
• Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers. 
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
• A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam is required before employment.
• Must possess a valid Class B CDL license or obtain within twelve (12) months of hire date.
• Must be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March. 
• Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work. 
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
