Project Coordinator, Electrical Lighting NSP - Vancouver, BC

This opportunity is located in Vancouver, BC for the New St. Paul Hospital Project.

As an Project Coordinator, Electrical Lighting NSP, you:

  • Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the construction schedule, ensuring project targets are achieved.
  • Oversee and manage procurement processes, coordinating equipment and material deliveries to ensure timely and efficient construction progress.
  • Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close-out documents.
  • Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control, and Plan Group’s T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
  • Provide oversight of sub-trades, ensuring all construction activities comply with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
  • Proactively identify and bring to management’s attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A strong background in electrical construction with a focus on lighting systems.
  • Related Electrical Engineering post-secondary education.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience; electrical, construction, and trade experience are definite assets.
  • Salary: $50,000+
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera is an asset.
  • Experience analyzing and understanding electrical construction drawings and working on commercial construction projects.
