The Role:
As a Sales Team Leader, you'll start by building and managing your own client base through cold calling small to medium-sized businesses. Once you master our sales process, you'll train and mentor new hires, while maintaining your own book of business. 


What You'll Do:

  • Build Your Business: Develop and maintain a portfolio of clients, engaging with employees and decision-makers.
  • Inspire and Train: Lead in the field training to motivate new recruits.
  • Mentor and Coach: Guide new sales reps with personalized coaching and support.
  • Connect and Build Relationships: Foster strong connections with clients and team members.

 

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Outside Sales Leader to join our team. This role involves working within your designated sales territory, engaging with small and medium-sized businesses across various industries. You will be trained to meet face-to-face with business owners and key decision-makers to offer some of the industry's finest supplemental insurance products and services to and for their employees. The position includes business-to-business cold calling as an essential component of your sales strategy.

  •     Respond to general emails and phone calls from clients
  •     Set follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients to review their needs
  •     Be present on scheduled calls or meetings with your sales team or manager
  •     Call on new businesses, referrals, and existing clients who need to be reserviced
  •     Build and maintain your own book of business
  •     Set your own scheduled working hours and submit them to your sales manager each week
  •     Submit your sales metrics and activity daily

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000 - $128,000 per year

 

Additional Position Qualifications:

  • Already licensed in Health & Life general lines (or willing and able to obtain Health & Life producer license - licensing reimbursement offered)

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience. Candidates within 6 months or less of degree completion will be considered, as will candidates with less than 4 years of professional work experience who have relevant or specialized outside sales experience.
