Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the development and implementation of system automation solutions to streamline the payables process for a large company. This role requires expertise in accounts payable operations, coupled with strong technical skills in automation tools and systems. The Accounts Payable Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, improve efficiency, and enhance controls within the payables function.

 

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement system automation strategies to streamline the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and reconciliation.
  • Evaluate existing payables systems and processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Lead the selection, configuration, and integration of automation tools and software solutions to optimize payables operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to design and implement automated workflows, approval hierarchies, and controls within the payables system.
  • Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to establish electronic invoicing, payment, and reconciliation processes.
  • Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling's philosophies, vision, strategies and value of "Doing the Right Thing"; Promote the TLM "Toyota Lean Management" philosophy
 

Educational/Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field, at least 5 years of accounts payable operations experience with a focus in system automation and process improvement, and display proficiency in accounts payable systems and software such as SAP Ariba, Oracle ERP, Coupa, or similar platforms. The Accounts Payable Manager should be detail oriented and highly organized to customers, sales team, and managers, which requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will protect the organization's values by maintaining confidential data utilizing their ability to handle sensitive information.
