Janitor / Cleaner Job Description

Job Description: Perform routine janitorial work of building facility, manufacturing, and lab areas.  Provide clean, safe, and healthy facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Sweep and mop floors throughout the general building area
• HEPA vacuum wafer fab cleanroom areas, assembly floor, and labs using systematic cleaning process
• Clean building by emptying trash, recycling bins, cardboard, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces
• Clean and service restrooms with specified mops and cleaning agents
• Keep all breakroom surfaces, sink, floor, and waste bins clean daily
• Track inventory and ordering of janitorial supplies, including paper products
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean
• Apply wax, sealant, and buff floors.  Periodically steam-clean carpets
• Clean outdoor grounds and patio from litter and other debris
• Assist Facilities Team with moving equipment and furniture, as needed
• Identify and report possible repairs
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation
• Adhere to OSHA standards in relation to proper use of chemicals and custodial cleaning tasks

Attend to any other cleaning needs as observed or assigned by manager.
