Cornell Center Animal Hospital is a Lakefield Veterinary Group clinic in Beaverton, Oregon. Our goal is to give the best quality veterinary care while allowing our staff to have a great work-life balance. Cornell Center is looking to hire a part time or full time Certified Veterinary Technician to support our growing DVM team. We are a small, close-knit team that prides ourselves in excellent customer service, patient care, and client communication. Our practice is looking for a person who enjoys working on a team, cares about those around them, and is truly interested in the highest quality medicine we can offer. Skills Required
The person joining our team will be an integral part of the daily workflow and morale of the clinic. Our perfect candidate is well organized, confident in their work, and loves what they do.
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting physical signs of pets.
- Scribing and thorough medical documentation.
- Collecting blood, urine, skin, and fecal samples as needed.
- Cytology including urine, gram stains, FNAs, manual blood counts, ear slides, etc.
- Gentle handling and fear free type techniques with cats and dogs.
- Ability to be part of a surgery team, monitor vitals, trouble shoot anesthesia, and recover pets.
- Ability to do COHATs and take dental radiographs.
- The desire to help others around them grow and learn.

Requirements
3+ years' experience in the veterinary field.
Current Oregon CVT License

Essential Job Functions
Veterinary technicians must have a broad knowledge of animal science and medicine. They must be able to soothe, handle, and restrain dogs and cats. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, well organized, and a team player. Surgery and dental experience are needed, including confidence while pets are under anesthesia.

Pay range between $22 and $26 per hour depending on experience.
