  • Summary

    Guest Service Attendants are required to work closely with the Front Desk Staff, Management and other hotel departments in providing exceptional guest service including but not limited to guest luggage assistance, deliveries/runner, Courtesy Shuttle Driver, local information source and other misc. needs as required.

     

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:                                                                     

    • Arrive on time wearing a neat pressed uniform & name tag while maintaining excellent grooming standards according to policy.
    • Greet all guest and visitors with an appropriate greeting and smile. Be knowledgeable of all amenities, services and restaurants located inside the Pyramid and local areas. 
    • Offer luggage assistance to all incoming and outgoing guest. Communicate with all departments in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Report all incidents of guest dissatisfaction to the department manager or lead. 
    • Seek opportunities to Wow our guest!
    • Conduct Pre-Trip inspection of Courtesy Shuttle Maintain cleanliness of Courtesy Shuttle
    • Ensure Courtesy Shuttle has a minimum of ½ Tank of Gas.  Below must re-fuel.
    • Operate the Courtesy Shuttle and arrange drop off and pickups. Report any damage to the Courtesy Shuttle to the manager immediately.
    • Report any accidents immediately to your manager and the Operations Support Office.
    • Must have excellent communication skills in order to effectively communicate by radio, email and telephone as necessary.
    • Assist guest with dinner reservations or other reasonable accommodations.
    • Distribute amenities and literature such as brochures, folios, bulletins etc.
    • Observe and obey all safety policies, department rules and procedures.
    • Report all accidents or injuries to the Front Office Manager/Lead immediately.
    • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in your assigned area.
    • Perform other duties as required. Other reasonable duties may be assigned/

     

    Qualifications

    In order to perform this position successfully, the individual must be able to perform the essential duties outlined above satisfactorily.     Education and/or Experience:  Highschool Diploma or equivalent and/or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and/or procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and written correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively to guest, employees and vendors.

    Mathematical Skills:  Elementary knowledge level required.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

    Reasoning and comprehension:  Ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral, or in diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standard situations.   

    Computer Skills:  Basic understanding of the Internet, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    Physical Demands:  Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation Physical.  Required for driving commercial vehicles (Courtesy Shuttle).  While performing the duties of this position, the Attendant is regularly required to stand/sit for long periods of time; use hands and fingers, handle, feel, reach with arms, speak and hear.  Attendant is regularly required to sit while driving, walk, kneel, crouch, stoop, and move with a sense of urgency.  Attendant must regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and be able to seek assistance with over 50lbs.  Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust and focus and be able to drive at night.  Position requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors.

    Driving History:  Must maintain a safe driving record and report any infractions, tickets or accidents to your manager immediately. 

    Certificates, Licenses and registrations:   Attendants must have the equivalent, or be able to obtain upon hire, a State of Tennessee Class D with an "F" endorsement License or state of residency equivalent. 

    Availability: Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
