HVAC Foreman - Commercial HVAC Construction

Comfort Systems USA MidAtlantic, LLC, a leading mechanical contracting company located in South Boston, VA, is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Foreman to join our team. We specialize in installing full mechanical systems for Educational, Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial customers in southern Virginia and northern North Carolina. As a key player in the industry, we value individuals who exhibit excellent communication skills, strong initiative, and the ability to thrive in both team and individual environments.

Duties Include:

  1. Understand project schedules, milestones, submittals, and contract documents.
  2. Coordinate with other trades for HVAC/piping installations within project scope and schedule.
  3. Manage project crews for the installation of various HVAC and Duct Systems.
  4. Ensure the safe performance of personnel and equipment.
  5. Implement and enforce the company tool policy.
  6. Complete necessary paperwork, daily reports, accident reports, and disciplinary reports.

Skills Needed:

  1. 5 or more years of experience as a mechanical foreman on commercial HVAC construction projects.
  2. EPA Universal Certification.
  3. Master or Journeyman HVAC Tradesman Certification (preferred but not required).
  4. Experience with RTU, air handlers, split systems, chilled water or boiler systems (preferred).
  5. OSHA 30-Hour certification (preferred).
  6. Positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude.
  7. Mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and English language skills.
  8. Experience overseeing job site personnel - journeyman and apprentice/helpers.
  9. Compliance with and promotion of company Safety Policy.
