Laundry Shuttle Driver

Summary: Loading, unloading, delivery and placement of Housekeeping supplies and linens. Additional duties include answering guest requests and ensuring their satisfaction. Laundry shuttle driver is responsible for driving a company vehicle, taking clean linen out onto the resort as well as picking up dirty laundry and delivering to the laundry. Miscellaneous tasks such as picking up trash from guest room and taking them to the dumpster may also be required. Be able to lift, carry, push, pull laundry/laundry carts, etc. Able to lift 75 pounds. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.  Loading, unloading, delivery and placement of Housekeeping supplies and linens.

2.  Pick-up and delivery to Food and Beverage, Marina, Spa and Golf Shop.

3.  Maintain cleanliness of box van at all times.

4.  Check to see that the box van has a full tank of gas at the beginning of the shift.

5.  Respond to guest, lead and room attendant requests as needed.

6.  Ensure early morning newspaper delivery to rooms.

7.  Be able to lift up to 75 pounds, walk and climb stairs throughout the shift.

8.  Be at least 18 years old and able to get a Missouri E or Arkansas D  with a "P" designated driver's license.

7.  Perform other duties as required.

  • 50% Responsible for driving a company vehicle taking clean linen out onto the resort as well as picking up dirty laundry and delivering to the laundry. 
  • 20% Picking up trash from our guest rooms and taking to the dumpster.
  • 15% Responding to guests calls and supplying them with their requested needs, such as cribs, rollaway, etc.
  • 10% Responsible for the pick-up of clean linens and pick up dirty linens to and from our sister properties
  • 5% Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Be at least 18, have a safe driving record and a Missouri class "E" or Arkansas "P" designated driver's license.

Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
