Summary

The primary objective of the Dishwasher is to be responsible for washing all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.

Essential Functions

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines.
  • Wash specific items by hand.
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock and requested reorders from the supervisor.
  • Check dishwashing machines operations and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
  • Remove garbage regularly.
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
  • Prep work.
  • Taking garbage and trash to the dumpster area.
  • Wash work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
  • Sanitize work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
  • Assembling, maintaining, and breaking down the dishwashing machine.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
  • Willingness to occasionally perform basic manual labor, move about the facility and/or remain stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day.
  • Ability to place cases, pans, utensils, and plates on both low and high shelves.
  • Ability to work in hot and damp environments.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies to avoid endangering themselves or others.
