Classification: Seasonal, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Summary
The primary objective of the Dishwasher is to be responsible for washing all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
Essential Functions
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
- Load and unload dishwashing machines.
- Wash specific items by hand.
- Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock and requested reorders from the supervisor.
- Check dishwashing machines operations and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
- Remove garbage regularly.
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
- Prep work.
- Taking garbage and trash to the dumpster area.
- Wash work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
- Sanitize work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
- Assembling, maintaining, and breaking down the dishwashing machine.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
- Willingness to occasionally perform basic manual labor, move about the facility and/or remain stationary for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day.
- Ability to place cases, pans, utensils, and plates on both low and high shelves.
- Ability to work in hot and damp environments.
- Ability to respond to emergencies to avoid endangering themselves or others.
