Billing Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: The Utility Billing Supervisor is responsible for managing all activities and staff in the billing function. They oversee the development of policies and procedures that ensure timely, accurate customer invoicing. They will also perform a variety of accounting related duties associated with utility billing, work orders, and journal entries related to utility financial transactions. This position performs lead responsibilities for the utilities accounting function.  This position works under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance.

WORK HOURS:       Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

WORK LOCATION: City of Branson, Missouri; City Hall.  This is an in office position requiring work to be performed onsite.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:    The starting hourly wage is $23.02 per hour and will increase to $23.94 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.  Please click on this link for compensation/benefits information.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
• Three (3) years of accounting, fiscal auditing, or double entry bookkeeping experience is required.
• Graduation from a program, college, university, or institution of higher learning regionally accredited through the U.S. Department of Education with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.  
      o A combination of full-time experience in accounting, fiscal auditing, or double entry bookkeeping of (7) seven or more years, as determined by the City, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. 
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
• Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience is preferred.
 
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be highly engaged in the department's goals, and be able to work cooperatively with Finance leadership in achieving those goals.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers. 
• Must possess a valid, current driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. 
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular expertise in Word and Excel. 
• Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work. 
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
