Executive Housekeeper

Our clients have a significant, fully staffed, Palm Beach residence. They would like to hire an experienced, full-charge Executive Housekeeper to lead their Housekeeping team. This is a full-time, year-round role great for a Chief Stew or Yachty.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for the general and specialty cleaning of the residence, work alongside the other residence and housekeeping staff.
• Supervise, schedule, and elevate the current team.
• Maintain closets, implement, and oversee household laundry operation (including handwashing and ironing, steaming, pressing), and maintain the dry-cleaning log.
• Provide informed care of specialty materials and surfaces (e.g., antiques, artwork, marble, fine linens, etc.)
• Perform daily housekeeping checks following detailed checklists and attending to preferences.
• Maintain a project list and perform deep cleaning and organizational projects when the family is traveling.
• Communicate effectively with the Property Manager and the Family Office team.
• Develop SOPs, staff training and development, elevating standards in the residence.
• Run errands as requested.

 

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working as an Executive Housekeeper in a private home or luxury hotel property with a desire to offer five-star service.
• Prior experience supervising a successful team.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent cleaning skills, including knowledge in the care of fine materials and furnishings.
• Works well as part of a team; all hands-on deck attitude.
• Unflappable and enjoys work equally when the residence is empty and when it is bursting with family and guests.
• Superior communication skills. Fluent English is required. Some Spanish is a plus.

 

Schedule

Generally, five days a week, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The right candidate is content to work some weekends and some holidays alongside the team. There will be some 6-day work weeks in season.
