Talent Acquisition Specialist

Equix Energy Services is an energy and utilities contractor that provides high quality pipeline and facility construction services. The Equix team is built on pride in the workmanship and abilities of our crews. Our core group of in-house welders have extensive knowledge and background in pipeline and fabrication welding. We have a current opening for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. At Equix, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations.  Our services include pipeline construction, gas distribution, horizontal directional drilling, facility construction and fabrication, and trenching services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for various divisions located in multiple states
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with managers by gaining an understanding of the work performed, team structures and talent needed to effectively execute work
  • Develop a clear understanding of hiring needs, qualification requirements and, selection criteria
  • Screen and interview candidates for active positions and potential future positions needed
  • Encourage and support the hiring of a diversity of candidates to support Equal Employment Opportunity
  • Conduct phone screens, facilitate the offer and onboarding process
  • Maintain candidate application information within applicant tracking system, ensuring that candidate notes, follow up and tracking is up to date and accurate
  • Proactively seek out applicants for vacant positions
  • Responsibilities will include attending career fairs, assisting with college recruiting, online and classroom presentations and marketing the employee referral program
  • Travel will be required up to attend various recruiting events and to build relationships with hiring managers supported by this position
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or equivalent experience
  • Recruiting in a construction environment is preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in high volume recruiting preferred
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient using social media platforms, applicant tracking software and, MS Office products
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from various levels within and outside of the organization
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information exposed to
  • Excellent interpersonal skills will be required as the position will have interaction within the organization and with external contacts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills will be required along with the ability to follow through and hit aggressive timelines
