Responsible for merchandising, managing and stocking inventory (i.e., millwork and other building products to include mouldings, columns, boards/lumber, stairparts, etc.) in Lowe's retail stores.  The representative maintains inventory data and information via  iPhone or handheld device, submits order information via iPhone or handheld device, stocks mouldings, boards, columns, stairparts and other building products so as to ensure that proper merchandising of signage and display is in order to enhance sales.  This representative works to build and maintain a strong supplier-customer relationship in order to promote sales growth.  This position requires daily travel involving the use of a company provided vehicle, therefore a good driving history is a must.  A commitment to hard work, extended hours and meeting with the job's requirements in order to maintain customer satisfaction is an expectation for this position.

Job Summary:

 The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for providing on-the-job training to new hires and tenured employees in various operational areas of the warehouse, identifying ways to improve the training program to support company objectives and providing feedback to management for the purpose of adjusting the program to meet ever changing business needs.

1. Provides training to new hire as well as tenured employees (i.e., picking, stocking, equipment certification, etc.).

2. Coach, counsel, and inspire employees to not only meet but exceed goals and expectations.

3. Conducts skill needs assessments to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps, training objectives, work situations and changes in training policies and procedures.

4. Coordinates trainings and re-certifications, ensuring training is designed, delivered and evaluated for consistency.

5. Observe employees to determine the effectiveness of training programs and ensure that any additional training requirements are fulfilled.

6. Determine that trainees are aware of order accuracy procedures and conformity at each stage of the training.

7. Exhibit and practice positive communications and team building skills with trainees to ensure a consistently professional environment.

8. Training and compliance with all warehouse and safety policies, practices, and procedures.

9. Functions as a team member within the department and as required, perform other duties as assigned.

10. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to perform all functions of a level 4 crewmember and forklift operator.

2. Must be able to learn to operate an order picker/tug or other material handling equipment and be certified and licensed after training.

3. Must possess the ability operate a handheld computer unit for the inventory picking and/or receiving processes with minimal training.

4. Must be able to report to work on time as required by the schedule.

5. Must be able to communicate and work with a small group of other employees as well as work independently at times with minimal supervision.

6. Must wear safety shoes at all times and safety glasses with side shields when banding materials or operating equipment.
