House Manager

Position Summary:

An executive based in San Francisco is seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager to oversee the smooth functioning of their residence. The right person is highly organized; does not require direction; possesses strong technical skills; writes well; lives in San Francisco proper and has style, taste, and impeccable character.

 

Responsibilities:
Maintain high standards set by principals, oversee home operations and appearance, act as primary contact for principals. Direct staff, coordinate daily tasks, and conduct weekly meetings. Manage databases, calendars, and household manuals. Organize maintenance, oversee vendors, and handle emergencies. Supervise household organization projects and specialty tasks. Maintain inventories and assist with event planning and serving. Manage household finances, petty cash, and document purchases. Provide courteous handling of communications and deliveries. Maintain vehicles, drive as needed, and assist with errands. This is not a remote role.

 

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years as a House Manager or similar role.
• Technology-savvy.
• Utmost discretion and confidentiality are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills.
• Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills; able to develop and effectively lead a culture of quality and excellence.
• Fosters a culture of inclusiveness and a collaborative work environment.
• Self-confident individual with sound judgment and common sense.
• Self-starter; highly motivated; strong work ethic.

 

Schedule:
This position provides a year-round schedule, with the principal preferring Tuesday through Saturday availability, offering flexibility as needed

 

Compensation:

Compensation of $175K+ (depending on experience) plus full benefits.
