Job Summary:

The Sr. HRBP will support the Sovereign site and partner with leadership on the site. Establish the strategic priorities and direction of the HR function based on business needs, internal customer needs, and external trends/developments affecting human resource policy and practice. Serve as a strategic and experienced internal consultant for line management in the areas of organizational design, change and talent & performance management, talent development and retention, employee engagement and coaching. Lead the implementation of various local HR and corporate programs, understanding local complexities and when adjustments and changes are needed. Critical in shaping the Sovereign’s culture and future success of the operations. Partner closely with the site leadership team to provide HR guidance, direction, and influence in achieving business goals and objectives. Responsible for contributing to a high-performing culture resulting in the engagement, development, and retention of human resources in a dynamic, highly regulated manufacturing environment. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated people strategy focused on building engagement and driving the achievement of business objectives.
  • Manages the resolution, through HR site leadership, of significant employee and or labor issues/grievances.
  • Provide expert insight and consultation on people, processes, productivity, performance, and organizational issues to positively influence company performance and business outcomes.
  • Anticipate and identify HR implications of business actions, potential disruptions, and/or change management requirements, and offer counsel and proactive solutions.
  • Guides and supports leaders on performance management, including interim coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary guidance.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Advises and coaches People Managers on compensation programs, including annual merit and compensation processes.
  • Evaluate company and pharmaceutical industry trends to build and maintain progressive HR practices engineered to influence business performance, productivity and employee motivation and retention.

 

Change Champion: Embrace change and understand strategies to address and reduce resistance.

  • Champions new initiatives and acts as a catalyst for change that drives continuous improvement in business performance.
  • Drives HR functional excellence and process improvement.
  • Drives Human Resources process improvement and standardization throughout Sovereign.

Talent Manager and Organizational Designer: Select, retain, and develop the right talent and capabilities.

  • Develops and implements proactive and innovative talent management solutions to deliver business results.
  • Manage and develop the internal HR team.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and industry regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare is a plus.

Education and/or Experience Required Required

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; a master’s degree or SHRM/PHR certification is a value added.
  • 7-10 years of progressive HR experience across most/all areas of responsibility

Travel

Occasional travel to Headquarters in Atlanta will be expected.
