Plant HR Manager  

 

The Plant Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Partners with the plant leadership team to understand and execute the plant's human resource and talent plans, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. 

  • Provides support and guidance to the HR team at the plant, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. 

  • Participates in the talent acquisition process, which may include interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants. 

  • Recruits temporary or seasonal staff directly or through agencies. 

  • Assesses learning and development needs. 

  • Responsible for employee relations at the plant. 

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices;  

  • Prepares reports as needed for payroll, sustainability, attendance. 

  • Timely Report employee changes in the HRIS.  

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred. 

  • Five (5) years of related experience required.  

  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred. 

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems such as Ceridian Dayforce, ADP, and Workday. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
