Clinic Manager ($2000 Sign-On Bonus)


Swope Health Services is seeking a RN Clinic Manager for our Adult Service Clinics. Professional candidate is responsible for managing all clinical and operational aspects within the assigned clinic(s) in an effort to provide excellence in customer service, quality, cost, and deliver positive performance in alignment with Swope Health Service's strategy, goals and values. The Clinic Manager is responsible and accountable for patient relations, personnel administration and the facility's fiscal management.  The Clinic Manager serves as a liaison between Medical staff and other clinical staff coordinating the day-to-day operation of clinic services in an effort to provide quality health care to our patients. This position works in close cooperation with the Director of Nursing, however, must exhibit initiative and independent action in accomplishing their job duties.



  1. Provides leadership to the department and serves as a role model within the organization; Participates in SHS meetings, committees, and projects as required;

  2. In partnership with Human Resources, interviews, hires, trains, and evaluates staff;

  3. Mentors and coaches staff in their professional development, developing an effective teamwork approach;

  4. Coordinate and document staff trainings, continuing education and regular staff meetings;

  5. Approve leave request and review and approve e-time of all staff;

  6. Attend to staff disciplinary issues;

  7. Supervise scheduling and arrange daily assignment of duties for clinic staff to accommodate patient volume and enhance throughput;

  8. Maintain regular and ongoing communication with clinic staff;

  9. Leads and role models patient satisfaction efforts and communicates with patients who bring forth complaints;

  10. Obtain, review, and develop action plans with clinic staff from patient feedback surveys;

  11. Participates in the development, monitoring and effective managing of annual operating clinic budget, contributing to the financial solvency of SHS;

  12. Purchase medical supplies, medications and equipment within the scope of the department budget;

  13. Ensure that all records and reports of the facility are maintained properly and are up-to-date;

  14.  monthly, quarterly and yearly medical inventory, storage areas and emergency kits and AED;     

  15. Utilizes knowledge of payer mix and its impact on the budget in clinic operations;

  16. Supervises the triaging of patients, screening and assessment, resulting in timely patient throughput;

  17. Manages patient scheduling and wait times for appointments to ensure access to care is timely;

  18. Maintains current knowledge related to applicable statutes, regulations, guidelines and standards necessary to perform job duties in accordance with the requirements of HIPAA, Joint Commission, federal, state, and local agency standards and regulations;

  19. Actively participates in performance improvement activities or other Quality Management initiatives;

  20. Arrange for routine equipment servicing and prompt repairs when necessary;

  21. In collaboration with Medical Staff and Vice President of Clinical Operations, develops creative and strategic plans to ensure volume & profitability growth of the clinic;

  22. Ensure compliance with SHS code of conduct for self and clinic staff;

  23. Participation in and compliance with SHS compliance program and training



                1.  RN required. Licensed in Missouri; Dual license preferred in MO & KS.  

2.  Minimum of five years in the healthcare industry, preferably in an Ambulatory Care or Clinic setting

3.  Knowledge of healthcare theory and practice.

4.  Knowledge of general policies and procedures in healthcare

5.  Ability to maintain accurate records.

6.  Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and multi-disciplinary staff

7. Three years management/leadership experience.
