Intensive Mental Health Technician Full-Time

    JOB SUMMARY

The Residential Program is seeking Full-time Intensive Mental Health Technicians.  Professional candiate implements activities guided by individual treatment plans, education and monitoring of daily living activities, symptom management and social skills training for those individuals who reside in Swope Health Services residential facilities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Champion recovery efforts for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, chemical dependency and/or co-occurring disorders in a manner that supports the dignity, respect, self-determination, and empowerment of each individual

Assist in implementation of individual treatment plan activities that promote independent living to include wellness activities, cooking and nutrition, transportation, budgeting, and household management.

Assist with planning, coordination and scheduling of activities that promote recovery, symptom management, and community engagement.

Monitor safety, cleanliness, and condition of the facility.

Document observations and interventions daily, including medication administration as necessary.

Provide protective oversight and follow crisis intervention protocol.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

      1.  High school diploma or GED required.  Associate Degree or two years of college in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or related field preferred.

      2.  Two years experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness or in the mental health field preferred.

      3.  Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
