Sr. Product Manager (Rheumatology/ Neurology)

Job Description: 
The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for supporting the strategic development and tactical implementation of marketing programs supporting a new product launch with Avion Pharmaceuticals.

The Product Manager will report to the Senior Director of Marketing and take lead in managing product specific initiatives and promotions to support sales as well as digital assets. The PM will take leadership in designing, implementing and evaluating promotional activities. The PM will manage annual brand planning process, brand budget, execution and measurement. The PM will lead agency/sales interface on brand specific activities and delegate support needs to Associate Product Manager or other brand stakeholders.  This includes ownership of all brand projects, evaluate opportunity/ROI, champion with internal stakeholders for approvals and ensure projects meet regulatory/legal requirements within scope.  The PM will analyze market data to identify key segment drivers, growth opportunities and business threats and recommend appropriate tactics to optimize brand growth.

Job Duties:

  1. Manage all marketing initiatives to support launch of product (products) including field promotional materials, patient education, other patient programs, professional programs, advertising, digital marketing efforts (website and digital promotional support) and convention planning
  2. Lead the development of brand strategy, positioning, messaging and tactical plan and subsequent brand plan execution
    1. Lead development of brand tactics (both prescriber and patient) from concept through development, medical/legal/regulatory review (PRC), production and dissemination to end user
    2. Ensure compliancy of messaging and support tools according to FDA/OPDP guidelines
    3. Manage development and tracking of brand budget
    4. Maintain brand marketing project and activity calendar including status updates, timelines and deliverables and provide monthly reporting/measurement updates
  3. Interface with advertising and medical communication agencies and with the field sales organization to assess needs and develop tools and programs to support effectively with ROI measurement
  4. Develop and manage any required savings programs including design, offer, execution, reports/analyzation of trends
  5. Develop strong KOL and influencer relationships to drive brand awareness and adoption/advocacy
    1. Determine appropriate PR & Influencer support needed and develop appropriate plan and budget
    2. Collaborate with internal marketing and sales team to develop annual convention support/promotion plan and budget
  6. Lead scheduling and development of annual strategic marketing plans and quarterly plans of action in collaboration with the field sales group and the Director of Marketing
  7. Develop key performance metrics for all brand programs, evaluate regularly, report insights and results and make appropriate change/updates to ensure positive brand growth
    1. Collect and analyze inputs from market research, third party reports, field intel and KOL interactions to develop and refine product promotional plans
  8. Collaborate with sales and sales training to develop optimal launch training roll-out and execution of new materials/initiatives.
    1. Make field regular field visits to gather brand and competitive insights
  9. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required
  • 3-4 pharmaceutical marketing experience – experience in the therapeutic category of neurology/ Rheumatology preferred
  • Product launch experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to apply understanding of market and prescription data, digital marketing analytics, coupon/redemption programs and market research processes to inform and leverage deep prescriber and patient insight and apply learnings
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to partner with internal stakeholders and champion/lead product launch efforts - including collaboration with sales reps & internal senior leadership, sales training, sales ops, logistics, business development, medical, legal, regulatory
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills
  • Outstanding prescriber support focus
  • Strong project management and problem resolution skills
  • Financial/budgetary experience
  • Travel is estimated at 20-30% of time, including some weekend travel
  • Position in based on Avion Corporate Office, Alpharetta, Georgia
