POSITION TITLE: Aircraft Sales & Research Assistant
REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President
OBJECTIVE: To provide exceptional administrative sales support, marketing, and aircraft research for the aircraft sales department. The position fills a critical role in providing administrative support essential to the members of the Banyan aircraft sales team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting the aircraft sales team with customer inquiries through the various phone, email and social media sources.
Prepare sales and information packages in response to customer inquiries or as directed by the sales team.
Prepare aircraft specification sheets, presentation brochures, and coordinating aircraft photography.
Track the status of our brokered/inventory aircraft and maintain a master record of aircraft brokerage and sales.
Keep combined aircraft sales calendar and help coordinate scheduling of aircraft sales team events.
Assist sales associates during demonstration tours and industry events.
Maintain marketing material for Banyan aircraft sales and HondaJet. Including working with in-house marketing or outside resources with management approval.
Organize and maintain aircraft sales records and files.
Assist in the preparation of sales documents to include aircraft purchase agreements and FAA ownership transfer documents. Work closely with FAA escrow agents assist in the sales closing process.
Periodically contact existing aircraft owners through phone & e-mail.
A secondary objective will be to identify potential opportunities for Banyan to purchase aircraft for inventory from motivated owners, with management guidance.
Work closely with the technical sales team to communicate and transfer maintenance & avionics opportunities and promote all Banyan departments.
Prepare a database (and a follow up system) of owners, pilots and key contacts for each of our target market aircraft.
Prepare, manage, track and create aircraft sales mailings for both pre-owned and HondaJet based on the direction of the sales team. This includes cold calling lists and phone calls, targeted lists and being creative for new marketing ideas.
Prepare a spreadsheet of our target market aircraft to facilitate observing trends in the quantity of available aircraft for sale on a weekly basis.
Make cold calls with Banyans calling script when needed.
Become fully proficient with Banyan’s departments and capabilities.
Become fully proficient with the Banyan officers, managers and team members.
Learn and fully understand each Banyan department and its capabilities.
Remain abreast of industry trends and know our competitors.
Maintain and update the aircraft sales web page and submit sales department social media content.
Work closely with the Banyan marketing team as necessary overseeing promotional campaigns.
Become proficient with the company CRM database and continually update current owner/operator information.
Each year identify and present one goal for professional development and one goal for personal development.
Communicate with co-workers, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Conform with all safety rules and wear/use all appropriate safety equipment.

Familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations,
Knowledge of general aviation industry,
A knowledge of Banyan's customers,
A strong knowledge of each department within the company and their capabilities,
A strong knowledge of Banyan's teammates, and the departments they work in,
A mastery of Banyan’s corporate officers and managers,
A knowledge and understanding of the Banyan Team Handbook,
A strong knowledge of Banyan’s CRM database,
Participate in continuing education seminars as necessary to remain abreast of new technologies within the scope of the position.
Individual must be comfortable cold calling and speaking with key decision makers, aircraft owners and pilots.
Position requires a college degree in business or aviation related degree field.
Individual should have customer service or hospitality experience.
Individual must have a mastery of the English language along with above average written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish would be a plus.
Exceptional organization is essential.
Individual must have above average computer skills and a mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as general working knowledge with SalesForce or other CRM programs.
Research experience with Amstat and or JetNet and other business and aviation database programs is helpful as well as data mining and database development/management.
The position might have occasional travel for aviation conventions and events and must be available to work nights outside the standard 9-5 workday on occasions as needed.
FAA licensed pilot would be a plus but is not required
