POSITION TITLE: Parts Specialist
STATUS: Non Exempt
REPORTS TO: Parts Manager
OBJECTIVE: Looking for a dynamic teammate to coordinate and maintain administrative responsibilities for the turbine maintenance and parts procurement departments. Work very closely with the maintenance parts distribution team to ensure that customers get the most effective and efficient service possible.
GENERAL PHILOSOPHY: To build customer loyalty through service excellence in a work environment where the teammates enjoy their work because they have accepted responsibility for the success of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using the computer system, close purchase orders with vendor invoices.
Ensure purchase orders are matched with vendor billing.
Produce direct sale invoice for parts sold to customer or department.
Accurate filing of all paperwork in a timely manner.
Search for parts by using vendor database.
Responsible for all outgoing invoices to be mailed in order to collect for parts distribution.
Assist turbine maintenance and parts distribution with cleaning up the unvouchered receipt report.
Balance outside service received and issued report.
Conduct and communicate in a professional manner to all at all times.

Observe and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Comply with all safety rules wear and use all appropriate safety equipment.
To be fully proficient in this position, teammates must possess and/or acquire the following through on-the-job training:
A thorough knowledge of Banyan’s vendors
A knowledge of Banyan’s customers
A knowledge of aircraft parts
A through knowledge of Ft. Lauderdale’s Executive Airport, including the location of hangars, tie-downs, fuel farm, tower, U.S. Customs, and all other FBOs located at the airport
A knowledge of customer relations over the phone and in person
Knowledge of Banyan’s computer system
Knowledge of the locations of office equipment, cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaners, garbage dumpsters, supplies, keys, and other equipment
Working knowledge of:
1. BASE system (vouchering, purchase orders, etc.)
Knowledge of departments within Banyan, their function and their team
Knowledge of your own employment status and the forms necessary to keep updated for FAA requirements
Knowledge and understanding of the Banyan Team Handbook
Knowledge of work schedules and the procedures for vacation, sick or other absences.
Knowledge and responsibility for:
1. Clean up
2. Discrepancies completed
3. Items remaining and the conditions in which uncompleted items were communicated
Knowledge of overtime, Saturday, holiday, on-call, and special call out procedures
Knowledge of safety procedures
Knowledge of responsibility for facility, aircraft and component security and all aspects of safety
Customer relations skills, and Professionalism.
This position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of administrative experience (including typing and light word processing), customer service skills, aviation background preferred but not required. Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
