Technical Estimating Specialist- HQ

This hands-on position is responsible for being involved in the development and maintaining of maintenance, interior and paint quotations and database. Providing Technical support to the sales team and directly to customers as needed, to assist with closure of opportunities. Producing detailed specifications, spreadsheets and proposals for the work to be performed in the requested timeframe by the customer and developing accurate and competitive sales quotations.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Support the Sales team providing consistent and accurate quote specifications and pricing.
  • Technical Support for the Estimating Team and entire sales Team.
  • Develop market competitive quotes aligned with defined profit margin goals.
  • Work with the department managers as needed to obtain the appropriate information, labor and materials to help facilitate the sale.

  • Continually increase the level of knowledge about our customers’ needs and requirements to maximize new and existing products.

  • Support and define up-sell opportunities to in house customer during the course of the project.

  • Maintain expense control and submit expense reports by the established deadlines.

  • Assist to maintain maintenance, Interior and Paint quote templates and update information in the CRM system.

  • Utilize appropriate communication as well as CRM to coordinate sales efforts which are properly aligned with the areas of responsibility across the Tech Sales team.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with preferred vendors and OEM’s.
  • Other duties as may be assigned

 

Job requirements

Top candidates will possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written, strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and goal orientated.

Other requirements include:

  • Represents strong familiarity to Maintenance production and processes

  • Strong Organizational Skills

  • Willing to travel as required

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and other basic computer programs

  • Exposure and/or experience utilizing a Sales CRM tool

  •   Ability to develop accurate and market competitive quotes to include man-hours and materials for paint and interior quotes

  • 5+ years of business aviation experience

  • Aircraft maintenance experience

  • Quoting or Estimating experience

  • Preferred experience Challenger 300/604, Lear 45/60 and Citation, However any corporate Jet Experience a plus.

  • Airframe and power plant license a plus
