POSITION SUMMARY: The Utility Worker I – Water Distribution position is
responsible for a multitude of tasks, which may vary from day to day, but will
primarily involve performing tasks required in operation, maintenance, and
repair of the water distribution system and related components; performs work as
assigned in water meter reading and maintenance and sewer collection systems.
This is an Entry level position which trains to acquire skills in the
installation and repair
POSITION SUMMARY: The Plant Operator Trainee is responsible for assistance with
maintenance and repair work and plant operations under the guidance of certified
operations personnel at water treatment plants, groundwater wells and water
towers. This position is supervised by a Division Supervisor or Division Manager
and reports indirectly to the Assistant Director and the Director of Utilities.
Must possess a Missouri Class "D" Water Treatment Certificate of Competencyor
similar state certification for this position.
