Ophthalmic Technician – Must be detail-oriented and must have the ability to
multi-task. Must be able to provide excellent customer service and have
knowledge of working in a medical facility or hospital setting. Must have good
communication skills, both verbal/written, and be computer literate. Minimum
two years of experience. HS Diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant
degree preferred.
Dispensing Optician – Evaluate prescriptions in conjunction with
patients’ vocational and avocational visual requirements. Recommend
specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit patient needs. Verify that
finished lenses are ground to specifications. Measure patients’ bridge,
temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers of eyes.
